Address Sky View: A Canvas for Emirati Artist Faezeh Mohammed Hassan on UAE National Day

In honor of the UAE's 52nd National Day, Address Sky View has become a canvas for Emirati artist Faezeh Mohammed Hassan, whose works reflect the vibrant cultural tapestry and historical legacy of the nation. From November 30th to December 5th, visitors can immerse themselves in the profound stories captured by Faezeh’s art, presented in the hotel’s grand lobby.

Faezeh Mohammed Hassan has established herself as a prominent figure in the realm of Middle Eastern art. Her work harmoniously blends realism and Orientalist influences, portraying the landscapes, architecture, and figures that define the UAE’s unique identity. Known for her mastery of plein-air techniques, Faezeh’s art captures the dynamic interplay of light and color, with a distinct emphasis on ochre tones, symbolizing warmth and joy.

Growing up in the UAE, Faezeh found inspiration in the nation’s heritage and the visionary words of its leaders. Her work serves as a bridge between the past and present, encapsulating the essence of Emirati culture through expressive brushstrokes and intricate detail.

Among the three artworks displayed, two stand out for their historical and cultural significance: portraits of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Rendered in warm, golden hues, these pieces embody Faezeh’s distinctive realist style, evoking a sense of reverence and continuity. The third piece offers a modern perspective—a dynamic interpretation of the Dubai skyline. Featuring cool tones and fluid brushwork, it portrays the city as an urban oasis amidst the desert. Interestingly, this artwork was completed against the striking backdrop of the Burj Khalifa, an iconic symbol of the UAE’s ambition and progress.

Through this exhibition, Faezeh invites viewers to engage with the UAE’s history and cultural evolution.
